In my recent post I mentioned that I was working on class project that hopefully fashionistas will enjoy. Well my clss project was for us, fashion students to have a presentation in front of the class a subject matter that had to do with fashion. Some of my fellow classmates had presentations about how to do make-up, history on wedding dresses, lingerie, perfume, nolita style and this one girl who was from Sweden came into the classroom with a Swedish costume and talked about her Swedish culture which was really nice. Some students when they presented had a powerpoint presentation, a presentation board and some students even handed out products to the class.
When my professor told the class about this project my first thought was FASHION MAGAZINES. However a few days before the announcement of the assisgnment, I recieved a lovely email from Suze Yalof Schwartz, the Executive Fashion Editor at Large at Glamour Magazine and also a blogger at Suze on Style about how she liked my blog and to add her as a link to my site. If anyone, no sorry if any fashionistas knows about magazines they should have a huge clue on Suze Yalof Schwartz she has been on countless morning shows, Oprah, basically she is a commentary-on-fashion-tv-personality-maven (if that makes any sense) for Glamour Magazine. But anyway I drummed up enough courage and emailed asking her can I have a video interview with her for my class project. Seriously only a few minutes after I press the send button on my computer I recieved a phone call and yes it was Suze Yalof Schwartz. I was in total shock and overwhelmed I had to literary run out the library.
After I got off the phone with Suze I thought I was going to have an asthma attack, I hadn't have one since I was 9 years old. I couldn't believe that I set a date with her so I can interview for my project. I have to be honest with the movie such as The Devil Wears Prada and the show, The Hills there is a stigma that people in the magazine industry well, people in the fashion industry are snobs and many people believe that. However when I arrived at the Conde Nast building the people there were really nice and friendly. As landed on the 16th floor which was the Glamour magazine floor, btw each magazine has their own floor (I'll talk about that later). I sat in the waiting area nervous and anxious, I was then greeted by Nayda, Suze's fashion intern then I meet Suze Yalof Schwartz. She looked pretty and well put together she had on this vibrant colored Tibi dress (I was trying to find the dress on the internet but I couldn't).
Well I will definitely elaborate more later so here are the videos:
