Fashion News: John Galliano Found Guilty; Topshop Opens in Chicago

John Galliano was found guilty by a Paris court of spewing anti-Semitic slurs. His sentence: a nearly $24,000 fine.
Elle reports that the former Dior designer “claimed to not remember anything about the incident” while also disclosing his addictions to alcohol and pain killers. [Elle]
Juicy girls, rejoice! Pamela Skaist-Levy and Gela Nash-Taylor, the ladies who originated the brand, will launch a label next year.
Skaist-Taylor is slated to debut in 2012 and will feature Cali-style wear like tees, knits, and basics. There are even a few sleek jackets and pants thrown into the mix.
Skaist-Levy explained to WWD:
“We created the number-one fragrance. We built a brand that changed the way people dressed. But we didn’t set out to do that. We just set out to make clothes we wanted, and we’re going to do that again.”
