Where: The New York Palace, NYC
Overall: Creative Director Don O'Neill for Theia was inspired by a Sunday Afternoon walk through the Brooklyn Botanical Gardens. For Theia Spring '14 collection this inspired Don to take pictures which translated into Cherry Blossoms and Magnolia trees on silk prints. However the Imperial Serial of Japan, the Chrysantemum, which Don found on a vintage kimono, he used elements of that on the jacquard and neoprene pieces throughout the collection. Indeed, Japan was another major influence but not only in the garments but in the hair and makeup.
