Inspected Trend: When Nature Calls

There were tribal elements of fringes and safari motifs on the spring '14 runways. Designers took it a step further with earthy tonal hues and textures. What I do love about this trend is that designers such as Donna Karan was trying to emulate the look of "nature" which is composed of dirt, trees, wood etc. According to Style.com, Dries Van Noten used "hardy fabrics like poplin, calico, natural linen" but still turned out to be a refined collection instead of looking dowdy.
