On Friday, the CFDA and Barbie rebutted one a kind Barbie designed outfits by fashion designers Rebecca Taylor, Cynthia Vincent, WHIT, Tess Giberson and Charlotte Ronson. The VIP party was held in the heart of the Meatpacking district and the venue was decorated with Barbies, models posing as model and a DIY station for guest to dress up their virtual barbie dolls. I chatted with designer Tess Giberson about her collection with Barbie and how her daughter, June was involved.
See below for Q&A with Tess Giberson and other pics from the Barbie Party ...

Q&A with Tess Giberson
.Her collaboration with Barbie:
"It was so much fun. I did my show today and it was a really nice balance to do something within my collection which I worked on it for so long and with Barbie I was able to have a lot of fun doing it and it was nice to think outside of what I do on a regular basis."
Transition into designing for Barbie:
"I grew up loving Barbie and my daughter is six and has a huge collection of Barbie, . The transition was easy because I was able to relate so well."
Daughter June’s Approval:
"[My Daughter] was very active in the process. When I told her about it she got very excited that we were going to do this. She goes, “You have to consult with me because I know everything about Barbie,” So she got very involved."
