Where: Pier 59 Studio, NYC
Overall: This is my first time attending a Jay Godfrey's presentation during NY Fashion Week and I was very pleased. Jay Godfrey is a womenswear designer that focuses of the melding of the classic tailoring techniques of Savile Row with a modern touch. For Spring '16 Jay was inspired by the London-based interior designer and architect David Collins. Jay keep the color palette very minimal with different shades of white, ivory, alabaster and cream. However the work was all in the details, the well placed cut-outs to the tailored pleating Jay really gained his inspiration from architectural lines.
